Jackson Springs

Jackson Springs was a really pretty park, but it was boring.  Some people climbed through a tunnel.  We looked at rocks, there was this stone bridge, and we examined different types of rocks there.  We did some sifting of the stream bed, then we walked down this little path to the river and chipped off some rock. Apparently that was illegal.

Wild Ginger

We took a long hike to the Hitchati forest, where we went exploring like Lewis and Clark.  Although the hike was treacherous, we eventually discovered the object of our quest:  Wild Ginger.  Wild Ginger, also called the lifegiver, the source of all our greatest desire and hope, the peacemaker, the well-spring of life, and the giver of excellent things, was difficult to find.  After fording rivers and battling wild boar, we discoverd it atop Mt. Rosemary.  We rejoiced, and mourned the classmates who were lost in the struggle.  They did not die in vain.

Dog Park

Dog Park water is disgusting.  We took samples, and in class we saw the growth that indicates fecal matter.  In essence, swim in the dog park, and you're swimming in doggy doo-doo.

Amphioxi

Lancelot is a heroic knight.  In fact, he was so brave that scientists named a fish after him.  It is called the Lancelet, or amphioxi.  They are believed to be an important link in the evolution of vertebrates, without which I couldn't be writing this blog.
