My chosen plant is the evergreen Quercus, or "Live Oak". The Live Oak has towering branches, and limbs that form arches over pathways through the forest. These passages are considered an integral part of southern culture, and thus the southern Live Oak was named the state tree of Georgia. This cheesy YouTube video should give viewers an idea of the scope and size of the live oak.
